The dramatic differences between numbers for 2021 and 2020 really tell the story — and the market was already pretty crazy in February of 2020! A year ago, we all pretty much agreed there would be a leveling out period coming soon. Just goes to show there are no crystal balls in real estate, or in life for that matter. We can estimate future behavior based on past behavior, but sometimes the world doesn’t follow the patterns and instead throws you a curveball, like, say, a pandemic. It’s a tough time for those who like to feel they have a lot of control over life. But I believe we’ll all come out of this okay if we remain informed and, at the same time, keep putting one foot in front of the other. Strange times, my friends.
